Do you want your necklace or bracelet to look neat and sturdy? Then the crimp bead is the perfect finishing touch.
🌟 Pro-tip before we start: always use flat-nose pliers with a smooth surface to avoid damaging the beads. Also, a beading mat is your best friend!

This is how it works with beading wire (for necklaces):
- Thread your wire through a crimp bead and then through the eye of a clasp.
- Thread the wire back through the crimp bead so that the clasp is secured.
- Grab flat-nose pliers and firmly squeeze the crimp bead closed.
- Trim the rest of the wire short.
- For the other side of your necklace, do the same, but with an extension chain or open jump ring. Pull the beading wire tight and then use the same technique to close the crimp bead.
This is how it works with elastic cord (for bracelets):
- Thread one end of the elastic through a crimp bead.
- Then thread the other end of the elastic through the crimp bead so that both ends of the elastic are threaded crosswise through the crimp bead.
- Grab flat-nose pliers and firmly squeeze the crimp bead closed.
- Trim the remaining thread short and, if desired, thread another bead over it to neatly conceal it.
